Based on the periodic property of response, an accelerated numerical approach for steady state analysis is presented for a voltage multipling circuit. State equations, the accelerating algorithm and simulated ripple results of a symmetrical Cockcroft Walton circuit are described. The approach can reduce computation time by nearly two orders of magnitude because the computation for transient process is not needed. The simulation result is in good agreement with experimental one. The accuracy is obviously higher than that of conventional analytical formulas or the circuit analysis software PSpice.
