摘要
美国作为一个旅游强国,旅游资源丰富,旅游管理先进,其旅游职业教育经过近九十年的发展,形成了一整套多层次、多规格的学位制度和完善的理论、教学、管理体系。结合笔者在美国的培训考察经历,对美国旅游职业院校的课程设置、实践教学、教学管理和教学理念展开分析,通过研究美国旅游职业教育的特点和优点,为我们学习和借鉴外国旅游职业教育先进经验并结合我国国情改革我国的旅游职业教育模式带来有益的启迪。
With its rich natural resources and modern hospitality management, the United States of America has i- dentified itself as a country with vital hospitality industry. With its growth and development of about ninety years, Ameri- can hospitality education features a multi - level degree program system, a combination of theory with teaching and a sound management system. This article begins with a retrospect of American hospitality education development. It then proceeds to explore its characteristics in curriculum setting, practical experience program, teaching management and edu- cational values, with the hope that this may shed light on reforming the domestic hospitality education.
