摘要
培养和提高理工科院校非英语专业大学生的翻译能力具有非常重要的现实意义。针对目前非英语专业大学生翻译能力的培养在实际大学英语教学中被边缘化的现状,文章呼吁要更新传统教学理念,重视和关注理工科学生翻译能力的培养,并结合自己的教学实践提出了具有操作性的改进建议。
It＇ s of great importance to cultivate the translating competence of science majors. They can become fairly competent in future EST translation if they receive adequate translating training and education. This paper first discusses the major problems currently plaguing science majors translating education in China. The paper then, drawing inspirations from experiences in delivering translation lectures to science majors, presents some suggestions accordingly.
