摘要
《诗经》是中国最早的诗歌总集,已被译成多种语言。《诗经》的英译已有一百多年的历史,理雅各是系统英译《诗经》的第一人。他的翻译目的和翻译思想具有一定历史时期的代表性。
The Book of Songs is the first anthology of verse in China. It has been translated into many languages. The translation of The Book of Songs has been more than a hundred years of history. Legge was the first man to systematically translate The Book of Songs into Eng lish. His purpose and theory of translation had a centain historical representative at that period.
