摘要
"复社四公子"之一的侯方域是明末清初士林阶层的代表人物,但随着《桃花扇》戏剧中多情、懦弱、犹豫的书生形象深入人心,人们往往将戏剧艺术与历史真实混为一谈,对其进行道德质疑和批判,这严重影响了对历史真实中的侯方域个人及其文学成就的理性判断与客观评价。从研究现状看,学者们较为关注侯方域生平考辨与作品整理,入清前后的人格心态变化以及诗文研究等三个方面。
Hou Fang-yu, a young leader in Fu Association, was a representative figure of intellectuals in late Ming and early Qing Dy- nasty. But as the affectionate, cowardly, hesitant image of the scholar went deeply into human＇s mind in Peach Blossom Fan, people tended to confuse dramatic art with historical truth, even gave Hou Fang-yu serious moral questioning and criticism, which seriously af- fected the rational judgment and objective evaluation of Hou Fang-yu himself and his literary achievements. The present researches a- bout Hou Fang-yu are mainly from the evaluation of his life and works, his personal moral shift and his poems and essays.
