The Syntax-prosody Interface Effects within Phase-based Computational Framework

摘要 本文在MP语段理论(PT)(Chomsky 2001,2004,2008,2010)框架中结合循环拼读模式(MSO)(Uriagereka 1999,2012)对韵律拼读、焦点重音等句法-韵律接口效应进行研究;在Selkirk(2001)和Kratzer&Selkirk(2007)以及Ishihara(2007)的基础上提出强语段的阻断效应,从跨语言视角系统分析基于语段拼读域(SOD)的韵律拼读、短语和焦点重音计算以及信息焦点语调(FI)等核心问题,旨在通过语段拼读域与韵律计算域的严格关系揭示句法-韵律接口及其制约条件的本质。证实韵律主短语MaP和焦点语调都是由多重拼读(MSO)在语段推导过程中循环形成的;研究得出基于MSO模式的语段拼读域(SOD)是韵律主短语MaP等音系计算和解释句法-韵律映射机制的关键局部域。 Based on phase theory(PT) and multiple spell-out (MSO; Uriagereka1999,2012), this article systematically investigates syntax-prosodic interface effects such as prosodic spell-out, focus stress. Particularly it proposes the blocking effects of strong phases ( e. g., CP & vP) according to the researches of Selkirk (2001 ), Kratzer & Selkirk ( 2007 ) and Ishihara ( 2007 ). From a cross-linguitic perspective, it further analyzes the prosodic spell-out, phrase stress, focus stress and information focus intonation (FI) closely related to phasal spell-out domain(SOD). And it aims to explore and reveal the nature of syntax-phonological inter- face and its constraints through the examination of the strict correspondence between SOD and prosodic computational domain. It further testifies that the prosodic major phrase(MaP) and focus intonation are formed by MSO in the cyclic phasal derivations. We tentatively conclude that phasal SOD based on MSO pattern is the curcial local domain for computing MaP and interpreting syntax-prosody mapping mechanism.
