摘要
由于成像过程中受外界环境影响以及成像系统自身固有特性,红外图像不可避免地会产生大量噪声,使成像系统直接获得的红外图像具有对比度低、信噪比低、边缘模糊等特点。因此,想要对红外图像目标进行很好的识别,必须对红外图像进行增强处理。提出了一种新的红外图像增强方法。该方法首先用中值滤波和均值滤波结合的方法对图像进行滤波,再用改进的OTSU法分割图像,接下来对分割后的前景和背景图像分别使用平台直方图均衡处理,并在这种分割基础上确定需要锐化的图像边缘,最后将处理后的前景和背景相加,并和需强化的边缘图像加权融合得出增强图像。仿真结果表明,所提方法对红外图像细节等综合因素的增强效果较好,并有效可行。
Infrared imaging process is affected by environmental factors and characteristics of system, which inevitably result in an infrared image with low contrast, low signal to noise ratio and fuzzy edge. So image enhancement is necessary. Based on the study on image processing, we proposed a new method of infrared image enhancement. First, a filter method combining median filter with mean filter was used for filtering image. Then, the improved OTSU was used to segment the image, and plateau histogram equalization was used to enhance the image segmentations. The image edges that need sharpening was determined based on the image segmentations, and the enhanced image was obtained by using simple weighted average method.Simulation results show that this method is feasible and has fine enhancement effect.
