Objective To investigate the changes in the cardiorespiratory functional parameters of soldiers garrisoned at high altitude of 3,600 meters after aerobic training. Methods The subjects were 32 soldiers garrisoned at the altitude of 3,600 meters who were healthy and able to complete every military training courses and met the examination standards. Their heart rate (HR) and blood oxygen saturation ( SaO2 ) were detected before and after the 3,000 km unarmed cross - country running. Results After the running, the HR of the subjects increased significantly compared with that before the excise ( P 〈 0. 05 ), and the average increasing proportion was 53%. While the SaO2 decreased significantly( P 〈 0.01 ), and the average decreasing proportion was 3.2%. Conclusion Personnel garrisoned at the high altitude for a long - term have obtained stable hypoxic acclimatization, and the manifestations include the increase of HR but less decrease of SaO2 after submaximal aerobic exercise.
