摘要
严复的"新民德"思想为改变中国落后挨打状况提供了新视角,在中西国民素质及其教育比较中,他着眼于剖析近代国民道德的缺陷,痛切地对国民素质进行深刻的反思,主张通过自由、民主、平等道德观念,来重新塑造国民道德主体性,培养一代具有独立自主人格的新国民。严复的新民德思想对当代如何提高国民素质教育、公民道德建设提供多方面的启示和重要的借鉴意义。
Yan Fu＇ s theory of ＂new morality of people＇s provides a new perspective for changing China from the being--beaten--situation. In a comparison of quality and education between the West and China, he analyzes the national moral defects, reflects on the quality of Chinese, and maintains to reshape the national ethics system based on freedom , democracy, and equality, so as to develop a new generation of citizens with an independent personality. His ideas provide a wide range of inspiration and an important reference for improving the quality of contemporary education and civic morality.
