摘要
为实现红外预警系统中高速图像的实时显示和存储功能,以Xilinx公司的Virtex5系列FPGA芯片为核心处理器设计高速红外图像实时显示与存储系统,系统首先通过光纤端口接收高速图像数据,将数据复制后分两路通过PCI-e接口分别发送至控制计算机以进行显示和存储。设计过程中光通信模块与PCI-e通信模块通过FPGA内核实现,不需要额外采用相关控制芯片,从而减少了系统功耗,增强了系统集成性。实验结果表明,通过PCI-e接口实现处理系统与计算机间通信较传统的PCI接口能大幅提高通信速率,采用x1模式时,实际通信速率可达784MByte/s,满足红外预警系统实时性方面的要求。
To realize the display and storage of the infrared early-warning system, a system using the Virtex 5 FPGA chip made by Xilinx is proposed. The high speed digital image informa-tion can be receirved by the optical-fiber interface in the system and, the two same pieces of data are transfered to the control computer through the PCI-e interface for the display and storage. The k.ernel of the FPGA is used to make the controller of the optical-fiber unit and the PCI-e unit without any other chips. Thus the power waste is decreased and the integration increased. The results of the experiments show the communication speed using PCI-e interface is higher than that using PCI-interface and a level of 784 MByte/s with the xl mode is reached, the real-time perfor-mance requirements of this system are thus satisfied.
