摘要
文学人类学的核心问题是文学文本与文化文本的复杂关系。本文提出的N级编码理论,兼顾无文字时代的文化大传统与有文字时代的小传统,从文化表述的讨论,引入文化编码的讨论,以鸮女神和蛙女神崇拜的图像叙事为例,将史前期的文物和图像视为一级编码,汉字为二级编码,汉字书写的早期经典为三级编码,此后的相关主题写作,直到莫言的《蛙》,统称N级编码。提示N级编码理论对于打通古今中外文学研究的可操作性,尤其是如何通过新发现的大传统知识,重解小传统的文本。
The core issue of literary anthropology is the complex relationship between liter- ary texts and cultural texts. Taking into account both the great tradition of the preliterate era and the little tradition of the text era,introducing discussion of cultural coding from that of cultural expressions,and taking the image narratives of the owl goddess and frog goddess wor- ship as examples,the N--level coding theory put forwards in this paper treats the prehistoric cultural relics and images as the first coding, Chinese characters the second coding, the early classic of Chinese writing the third coding, and the writings of the related topics hereafter to Mu Yan's Frog the N--level coding. It is of great significance to prompt N--level coding theo- ry for getting through the operability of the study on ancient and modern literatures at home and abroad, especially for how to re--interpret the texts of little tradition through the newly discovered knowledge of the great tradition.
