摘要
心智哲学与语言认知关系密切,作为语言运用的翻译活动与心智哲学存在内在联系。意向性和心身随附性是当代心智哲学研究的重点内容,它揭示了人类认识客观世界和主观世界的一般规律。典籍翻译活动主要涉及理解和表达两大过程,贯通整个翻译过程的是以语言为中介的译者的心智活动。从心智哲学中的意向性和随附性理论出发,以《红楼梦》若干英译为例,来探讨典籍翻译研究,是一个值得关注的新视角。
Philosophy of mind is closely related to language cognition,and thus translation as an aspect of language use is innately linked to the philosophy of mind. The intentionality and supervenience between mind and body are the highlights in the study of contemporary philosophy of mind, which discloses the gener- al law in the cognition of objective world and subjective world. Classics translation generally involves two main processes, namely understanding and expression, throughout which are the translator＇ s mental activities with language as a medium. This paper aims,based upon the intentionality and supervenience theory in phi- losophy of mind, and taking the example of the English versions of Hong Lou Meng, to explore some phenom- ena in classics translation studies.
