摘要
EPON的多点控制协议一般采用限制分配方式来确定每个ONU的传输窗口大小,而限制分配方式存在浪费带宽、包延迟和丢包等问题,文章提出了一种在限制分配方式基础上改进的EPON窗口分配机制,来解决这些问题。在改进的分配机制下,OLT先给所有的ONU不超过它规定的最大传输窗口的带宽,然后根据ONU上的标记来确定是否可以分配超过它规定的最大传输窗口的带宽,并根据OLT能提供的总带宽,用ONU Report消息中的队列来控制ONU超过的额度,同时利用标记来体现分配的公平性。
The limited granting (LG) scheme is used in dynamic bandwidth allocation by muhipoint control protocol (MPCP) in EPON. The disadvantages of LG are bandwidth waste, queuing delay and packet drop. The article presents a new grant transmission window approach based on LG in EPON in order to resolve the disadvantages of LG. The optical line terminal (OLT) only grants bandwidth demand by optical network units (ONUs) which do not have tags in this approach and controls bandwidth for these ONUs by the queues from their request messages. Moreover, OLT introduces a new parameter called second maximum required window size. The approach introduces a tag and uses it to share bandwidth fairness between ONUs.
