Effect of Priming Based on PEG on Cold Resistance of Maize Seed

摘要 以玉米杂交种创奇518新种子为材料,在聚乙二醇(PEG)为引发剂的基础上,针对性地添加其他具有抗寒作用的引发剂,通过低温种植处理,来研究玉米种子的抗寒性。结果表明,不同引发处理,玉米种子的发芽势、发芽率、苗鲜重、株高、活力指数、过氧化物酶(POD)和过氧化氢酶(CAT)均出现明显的差异。尤以PEG、水杨酸和二甲基亚砜(DMSO)组合的发芽率、活力指数最高,幼苗长势整齐一致,POD和CAT活性较对照有了明显的提高。 Using corn hybrid Chuangqi 518 new seeds as testing material and PEG as an initiator together with adding other initiator with cold resistance of maize was studied by means of a low-temperature planting treatment. The results showed : seed germination potential, germination rate, seedling fresh weight, plant height, vigor index, per- oxidase(POD) and catalase(CAT) enzyme showed significant difference among different priming treatments. Espe- cially in the combination of PEG, salicylic acid and dimethyl sulfoxide, germination rate and vigor index were the highest, seedlings were uniform, and activities of POD and CAT had been improved obviously than those of the control.
