摘要
20世紀初,義和團運動在華北興起,與之同時,東南各省與西方列强訂約互保,基本維持了長江流域的和平局面。在這個重要的歷史事件中,"上海中外官紳"(廣義上包括江浙地區)羣體表現異常活躍。這一羣體究竟扮演了何種角色?在何種層面上發揮了作用?在他們背後又有何種推動的力量?本文擬對此進行全面考證,並對相關的重要文獻即趙鳳昌所撰《庚子拳禍東南互保之紀實》作必要的箋釋,力圖在東南地方歷史變遷的背景下,探討突發事件中各色人物的行爲軌迹和心路歷程,爲理解晚清歷史作一有益的注腳。
During The boxer rebellion in the early years of the 20th century, the Chinese government in the southern provinces made contract with the foreign authorities,and secured peace in southeast provinces. The Chinese and foreign governmental officials had played an important part in this historical event. The author investigated their roles and the driving forces behind them.
