Continuous salvage excavation took place in conjunction with Yujuyuan subdivision development in 2010 at the Mr. Xi'e cemetery which is located in northwestern Jingzhou.. This field session revealed 15 tombs, from which 112 pieces of pottery, bronze, lacquer & wooden wares, and jade wares were unearthed. On the basis of a comparative study on the relationship between the tomb structures and funeral objects, this paper suggests that the dates of these tombs falls within the early to middle Warring States period. This excavation material provides newest data for studying Chu Culture in Jingzhou area.
