Introduction of Schlumberger's newly developed MAXIS system was given in Oilfield Review Vol.2 No. 2 1990. The MAXIS system marks a leap in wireline technology. High-speed telemetry has made data-intensive logging practical and given birth to new imaging measurements and tool combinations that examine the formation with greater detail and radius of investigation. To acquire and process this increased flow of data, the surface system has been redesigned from the ground up, enhancing wellsite efficiency and data quality and giving the client more involvement in the logging job.
