摘要
近年来,全球范围内数字报纸付费墙的构建方兴未艾,其中起先锋和主导作用的当属美国报业。本文对2010-2012年美国数字报纸付费墙研究文献进行了回顾和分析,从付费墙模式、付费内容、受众和广告业务等方面加以综合性评述。研究发现,美国报纸付费墙正处于理论研究与实践探索并行的时期,早期认为付费墙将导致读者近一步放弃报纸的悲观性论断被《纽约时报》为代表的报业实践所打破,付费墙在广泛市场范围内取得成功的同时也促进了研究的近一步深入。最后,本文对今后付费墙研究进行了展望性分析。
The paper examines the process of exploring and implementing paywall of digital newspapers in recent years, and generalizes the holistic characters of paywall studies in the United States in 2010-2012. The paper points out that scholars have focused their studies mainly on subjects of paywall models, paid contents, audiences and advertising business, etc. The study finds that U.S. newspapers paywall is in the parallel period of theoretical research and practical exploration, and the newspapers' practices such as the New York Times breaks the pessimistic conclusion that the paywall will make readers further to give up newspapers. Finally, a forward-looking analysis of future research is prospected.
