在全球经济整体复苏的情况下，２０００年上半年，由于铝产量急增，大基金的退场，国际铝价并未因氧化铝的短缺而走出人们预期的上扬行情；国内铝市场由于需求旺盛，氧化铝严重短缺，铝价一直呈高居不下的态势。近来，美国铝厂因电费上涨难以为继，俄罗斯铝厂因产权重组为出口带来诸多不确定性，在国际铝库存持续下降的情况下，国际铝价在未来的几个月会迎来新的上升行情。
With the preferential world economy, the aluminium market failed to receive further gains in the first half 2000, because of the sharply increase of the aluminium output and the marcro funds retreating from the metal market. China's market has been bullish due to the shortage of alumina and increasing demand. Outlook for the aluminium market is still rosy as the stock in LME continues with its falling down to its critical level in the history.
