摘要
一个民族的文化典籍是其历史文化的重要载体。阐述了加强民族典籍翻译及其研究对于促进民族关系和谐发展的重要意义,主要体现在有助于促进民族文化典籍的挖掘、整理和保护,有助于建立完整的"中国学",有助于中国各民族交流与沟通,也有助于其他国家完整了解中国的文化史和民族特色。基于对民族典籍翻译及研究现状的分析,提出应进一步在提高思想认识、确立典籍原本、组织和计划、翻译和出版、批评和研究及人才培养等方面作出努力。
The cultural classics of an ethnic group are an important carrier of its history and cul- ture. The significance of China＇ s more efforts in translation and research of the cultural classics of her ethnic groups is expounded, which embodies mainly in better protection of the classics, better conception of Chinese studies in the true sense of the term, better communication among Chinese ethnic groups, and better understanding of the history of the Chinese culture with its own characteristics by other countries. Considering the status quo, it is pointed out that those ef- forts should be made in such aspects as deepening awareness in this regard, establishing texts of the classics, improving organizing, planning, translating, and publishing, strengthening criti- cism and research, and nourishing competent translators.
