摘要
世界一流的研究型大学对创新人才的培养通常是通过贯穿本科四年的一系列结构严谨的课程体系得以实现的。新生研讨课是面向大学新生开设的一种以探索和研究为基础的小班课程,其教学模式在授课方法、教学手段、组织形式、考核机制等诸多方面皆与惯常教学有很大突破和不同。半个多世纪以来,新生研讨课始终是美国本科教育中的一类特色课程,为新生架设了与名师面对面交流的桥梁,构建了融洽的师生关系,在培养创新人才和推进研究性教学过程中发挥着重要作用。通过对哈佛大学新生研讨课教学理念、组织特征、课程设计、师资建设、考评机制、技术支持等教学特色和课程模式的剖析,以期对我国研究型大学本科教育教学改革提供有益参考和借鉴。
The cultivation of innovative talents in world-class research universities is usually implemented through a series of structured course system throughout the four years of undergraduate teaching. Fresh- man seminar for college freshmen is a small-class teaching which based on the exploration and research. The teaching mode of Freshman seminar in methods, means, organization form, assessment mechanism and many other aspects is different from usual teaching method. More than half a century, Freshman Sem- inar is always a characteristic of American undergraduate education course, which plays an important role in the process of cultivating creative talents and promoting the research-oriented teaching . By analyzing the teaching practice and the operation modes such as teaching concept, characteristics, curriculum design, teaching force,policy guarantee, evaluation mechanism, and technical support in Harvard University, we can produce beneficial enlightenment and reference to promote the construction of the freshman seminars in China.
