摘要
随着我国高等教育进入大众化阶段,以及开放大学建设热情的不断高涨,高等教育的市场竞争日益激烈,开放大学核心能力的研究成为人们关注的焦点。如何界定开放大学核心能力的构成要素是这一研究的首要问题,关于该主题的实证研究在我国远程教育领域并不多见。本文在分析国内外已有研究的基础上,提出开放大学核心能力的假设维度和模型;然后基于国内开放大学系统、港澳台地区远程教育机构的133份中高层领导和专家的问卷调查数据,通过SPSS19.0的探索性因子分析,修正和完善了假设模型,从而得出中国开放大学核心能力维度包括文化、学术、社会服务、管理、人力资源。本研究可为开放大学建设的理论研究提供新视角,也为实践提供新思路。
As higher education becomes more accessbile to the public and open universities develop so fast in China, competition in higher education is getting intense. The core competitiveness of open universities attracts scholars" atten- tion. In the research of open universities" core competitiveness, the most important issue is to define its elements. How- ever, few empirical study of the core competitiveness of open universities has been carried out in China so far. Based on related researches in the world ~ this paper proposes a model of open universities" core competitiveness. Questionnaires are sent to experts in Chinese open universities and distance learning institutions in Hong Kong , Macao, and Taiwan. The 133 feedback are loaded in SPSS 19.0. We then adjust and optimize the result and propose a model of the core competitiveness. This research indicates that the core competitiveness of open universities is composed of culture, learn- ing, social service, management, and human resource. Adopting this model and making it running well are the keys for open universities to achieve success in competition. This paper not only provides supports for theory research about open universities but also offer a new angel and new ideas for its development.
