摘要
通过对相关资料的收集、整理和分析,结合实地考察、访谈、口述历史和逻辑分析等方法对中华武术在美国的传播历程进行了系统研究。主要研究目的是在当前国家大力提倡文化"走出去",提升中华文化国际影响力的时代背景下,探寻、梳理作为文化载体的武术在某一国家的具体发展状况,为国家武术管理部门制定武术国际传播推广策略提供实证依据。研究根据历史时间和当时在中、美两国发生的重要历史事件以及具有影响力的历史人物等综合因素,将武术在美国的传播历程划分为"淘金热"时期、"冷战"时期、"中、美关系解冻"时期和"全球化"时期。研究认为,武术在美国传播的每一个历史阶段都与当时中、美两国的社会历史变迁有着千丝万缕的联系,呈现出错综复杂的政治、经济、文化相互交汇的时代特征,武术移民在各个历史时期,特别是中、美关系解冻之后,对武术在美国的传播发挥着重要作用。随着时代的变迁,中国国际地位的大幅度提升,中华武术在美国的传播也逐渐由以技术传承为主向文化传播转变。
This Paper reflects a thorough and systematic research on the process of dissemina- tion of Chinese Wushu in U. S. A. based on the collection, arrangement and analysis of relevant materials in various methods and approaches applied, such as fieldwork, interviewing, oral his-tory, logical analysis, etc. The main purpose of the study is to explore and analyze the specific development status of Wushu as a carrier of culture in a certain country, thus providing a refer- ence for national administration of Wushu to formulate international dissemination and promo- tion strategy under the background in which the central government is emphasizing the outward dissemination and the improvement of the international influence of Chinese culture. Based on a combination of factors such as historical time, the important historical events and the influential historical figures, the dissemination process of Wushu in U. S. A. is divided into four periods. i. e. The Gold Rush period, Cold War, the rapprochement of Sino-US relation, and period of globalization. The research believes that the dissemination and development of Wushu in each stage of period was related in a multiple way to the social and historical changes of both China and U. S. A. which reflects the features of the respective period in terms of the interactions a- mong the international political, economic, and cultural environment. Wushu immigrants play an important role in the dissemination of Chinese Wushu in each historical stage, especially after the thaw in the Sino-U. S. relation. The overall trends of Wushu dissemination has been the shift from skill inheritance to culture dissemination with the changing times and China＇s signifi-cantly improved internatinal status.
