摘要
宋代著名理学家杨时继承张载的思想,将"将万物与我为一"训为仁之体;并且发展了二程"爱人是仁之端"的思想,提出"称物施爱"是仁之事;他还借用《中庸》的词语将"忠恕"训为仁之方,"宽裕温柔"训为仁之质,"齐庄中正"训为仁之守,"发强刚毅"训为仁之用。他认为慎守力行这些原则,仁道可得。
Yang Shi,a famous moralist in the Song Dynasty,inherited the thought of Zhang Tsai,and thought that the unity of heaven and man was the noumenon of benevolence.He considered different loves to be the thing of benevolence and carried further the ideas of Cheng Hao＇s and Cheng Yi,who considered loves as the beginnings of benevolence.Yang Shi borrowed those words of the Doctrine of Mean and considered loyalty and consideration to be the methods of benevolence,generous and gentle individual character to be the essences of benevolence,the doctrine of the mean thought,integrity to be the rules of benevolence and fortitude and actions to be the uses of benevolence.He claimed that anybody who observed these rules and carried out them carefully,he would gain benevolence.
