The fluorescence property of Ce(Ⅲ) in hydrochloric or sulphuric acids is studied with flow injection fluorescence analysis. A method for the determination of trace Ce(Ⅲ) has been established. The fluorescence was measured at 354nm (excitation at 258nm). The linear range is 0-100 ppb and the detection limit is 0.1ppb. The sampling rate is 180/h. The results for the determination of Ce(Ⅲ) in synthetic sample are satisfactory.
