摘要
本文基于对课程评价的概念界定和核心理念的分析,提出构建大学英语课程评价体系的思路。作者认为,大学英语课程评价体系应汲取不同价值取向的评价模式之优势,对大学英语课程的设计、教学实施、教学效果和教师发展等环节开展分层分类的评价,采用多样化的评价方法,改变以考代评现象,发挥评价的审核和发展功能,实现提高大学英语教学质量的目标。在目前阶段,构建大学英语课程评价体系的主要任务有:建立评价指标体系,制定评价标准;完善评价制度,探索评价方法;培训评价人员,建立专业评价机构。
Based on a review of the definitions of curriculum evaluation and the models of educational evaluation, the paper proposes a systematic approach to developing an evaluation model for College English. It is suggested that the evaluation model, as a key component of the curriculum of College English, should draw on the strengths of dif- ferent evaluation models and be tailored to the needs of the types and levels of the institutions in which College Eng- lish is provided. The model should encourage the use of a variety of evaluation methods and evaluate in a systematic way each component of the curriculum, including, for example, curriculum design, implementation of teaching, outcome of teaching and learning, teacher development. By adopting such a comprehensive evaluation model, the current testing-oriented evaluation of College English will be replaced by an evaluation for accountability and devel- opment purposes, contributing to a higher quality of College English teaching and learning. At this initial stage, the major tasks of developing the evaluation model include the following: 1 ) developing the evaluation index system and specifying the evaluation criteria; 2) establishing the 3) training the evaluation personnel and establishing evaluation procedures and exploring the evaluation methods; professional evaluation organizations.
