摘要
科学与启蒙精神有着紧密的关联。启蒙精神从科学中获得了巨大灵感,包括以自然的权威取代上帝的权威,以人的科学改造传统文化,以科学的理性建构新的社会政治体制。启蒙精神又推动了科学研究纲领的社会化,巩固和发展了科学的社会建制,增强了科学的社会效用,从而使科学在启蒙精神的感召下走向成熟。启蒙精神以科学的典范作为人类文化的典范,以科学的进步推动人类社会的进步,以科学的解放推进人类社会的解放,从而赋予科学以至高无上的文化使命和社会使命。科学与启蒙精神的关系,是理解西方科学文化的动力、目的、意义和价值的一个不可或缺的重要视角。
Science and the spirit of enlightenment are closely related. The spirit of enlightenment de- rives great inspiration from science. Such inspiration includes the substitute of authority of Nature with that of God, the reconstructing of the traditional culture with the help of the science of man, and constructing new social political system with the help of scientific reason. The spirit of enlightenment also helps promote the socialization of scientific research guidelines, strengthen the social institution of science, and enhance the social utilities of science, thereby enabling science to become mature under such inspiration. The spirit of enlightenment takes the paradigm of science as the paradigm of human culture, promotes the progress of society through the progress of science, and promote the liberation of human beings through the liberation of science, thereby entrusting science with supreme cultural and social missions. The relationship between science and the spirit of enlightenment provides an es- sential perspective to perceive the driving force, objective, significance and value of scientific culture.
