Japanese "overseas" scholar Dr. Kimie Hara has published many research results about territorial disputes in East Asia in recent years, which attract broad attentions in academia. Dr. Kimie Hara thinks that the origin of territorial disputes in East Asia is of great relevance to the "San Francisco Peace Treaty with Japan"-a "wedge" which was dominated and set in between the countries by the United States to implement its Asia-Pacific strategy in the future. On the issue of territorial disputes in East Asia, she puts forward the land Islands Settlement as a Resolution Model in a multilateral framework. This article has attempted to conduct that her research is original in choice of subject. However, it could not be out of limitation of the Japanese scholars. It is a common choice across the Japan political spectrum to rely on the United States to solve the territorial disputes between Japan and its neighbors.
