摘要
文中综合研究了有关大荔人头骨化石的产出地层、伴随出现的古生物化石、古气候演变的条件等 ,结合用热释光技术测定地层年代这一基本思路 ,将大荔人的生存年代确定为不老于 30万年。
There is an age decided for Dali\|man by using thermoluminescence(TL) dating technique with quartz collected from the section of the skull fossil. The age of Dali\|man living there was not older than three hundred thousand years.The present paper integrates the data of stratigraphy, mammal fauna, palaeoclimate, ages of uranium\|series and TL dating about the Homo sapiens Daliensis. It is important to point out that there are S 2 as well as its upper layers in the upper part of the section, which is correspond to the 18 O stage 7, so the fossil\|bearing deposits may correspond to the 18 O stages 8,9,that lasted from 242 ka B.P. to 334 ka B.P.The TL age is 308 ka B.P., the author believes that the true age of Dali man is younger than 300 ka B.P..There exists a palaeosoil layer under the two loess layers in the upper section,from which four specimens are got.The order of the data from thermoluminescence dating has a good result. No enough fine grains can be collected from the alluvium in the section which is the layer where the skull fossil being excavated. Also a good data order has been obtained from the gross grains of quartz for thermoluminescence dating. Therefore, the sequence of the data is still good enough in the whole section.
