摘要
法国释义理论学派反对翻译是两种语言之间语码转换的观点,强调翻译活动应当忠实于意义,重视译者在翻译过程中的地位,将翻译视为理解思想与重新表达思想的动态过程。它同时指出,意义的表达离不开语言使用的语境,语言的选择也离不开语境的制约。本文尝试以语用学和语言哲学中有关语境的思想为切入点,反思释义理论中意义的标准,以期通过对语境维度的审视来完善释义理论,为翻译学与语言哲学的结合研究提供新的增长点。
According to the interpretative theory, translation is a kind of code switching which should be loyal to the source text. Mean- while, translation is also a dynamic process in which understanding and re-expression take place. However, the expression of meaning must depend on context where the linguistic choice can＇ t be independent. This article attempts to reflect on the meaning criteria of the interpretative theory from a pragmatic and philosophical perspective. Finally, it endeavors to improve the interpreta- tive theory in contextual dimension and provide new inspiration for the integration between translation and philosophy of language.
