摘要
美国著名作家菲利普·罗斯在其作品《退场的鬼魂》中,通过主人公祖克曼在纽约的种种经历,再现了西方世界的安全危机、政治危机、科技对人的物化及由此而来的人的危机,同时蕴藏在本书字里行间的东方文化元素如隐居、禅及天人合一理念却显示出对人类心灵的抚慰功能。东方文化对深陷西方危机中的人们起着重要的救赎作用。
In his novel Exit Ghost, through the protagonist Zuckerman’s experiences in New York, the famous American writer Phillip Roth describes the security crisis, political crisis, materialization of human beings and the crisis for human beings brought by it. Meanwhile this novel also embodies the soothing function of oriental cultural elements such as seclusion, Zen and unity of man and nature between the lines. The oriental culture is a way of redemption for those people who are trapped in western crises.
