摘要
梅与蜡梅是我国的传统名花，由中国花卉协会梅花蜡梅分会和无锡市人民政府主办的第七届全国二梅展及无锡市首届梅花节，将以很大的规模于 2001年 2月 17日至 3月 15日在风景秀丽的无锡梅园举办。其间还将于 2月 18～ 21日召开国际梅与蜡梅文化研讨会和国际梅品种登录第二届年会。届时将会有国内外专家学者以及国际梅品种登录权威人士参加会议。
Mei flower and Wintersweet are two very famous traditional flowers of China. The Seventh China Exhibition of Mei Flower＆ Wintersweet will be held during Feb.17 to March 15,2001 in Wuxi of Jiangsu province, a famous landscape City in China. This exhibition is sponsored by the Chinese Mei flower＆ Wintersweet Association and Wuxi Municipality, and is opening to the public mainly at Mei Garden of Wuxi. The exhibition is well prepaid and to be held in a large scale. The Mei Garden is standing with picturesque surrounding and has thousands of Mei trees grown there among some lovely and well arranged garden buildings. Furthermore, two international activities will be carried out there on Feb.18th, 2001: (1) International Symposium on Mei＆ Wintersweet Culture , (2) The second Annual Meeting of International Registration for Mei（ Prunus mume） cultivars . Specialists and representatives from China and abroad as well the International Registration Authority will be present there.
