This paper attempts to base a study of the cultural force of Robinson's novels on the characters' quotidian experience rather than their deathbed imagination and to illustrate that the cultural force of Robinson's novels lies mainly in the efforts he makes to expose the oppressive forces in culture,to underline the objective law that 'everything can change',and to present the characters' unremitting struggle for the ideal of an 'unmolested'life, rather than in the intention to teach people how to face death and cherish time.
