摘要
在大数据时代背景下,大学管理要从传统的经验管理走向以数据为基础的科学管理,必须转变相应的思维方式,形成用数据"说话"的理性决策思维,学会利用和分析多种类型数据并转向对数据相关关系的关注。在美国,院校研究通过数据分析为大学管理决策服务已经成为一种文化和传统;在中国,也有一些高校在进行这方面的探索,利用联机分析处理和数据挖掘等新技术为学校的管理决策提供支持。我们需要借鉴学习先进的成功经验,营造健康的数据文化,提高数据质量,加快数据系统的建设、公开和共享,提升对数据的挖掘分析应用能力,推进中国高校走向基于证据的科学决策和有效管理。
Under the background of big data age, the management of university should be converted from experience management to data-based scientific management. People are required to change their thinking mode to a rational data-based one and learn to use and analyze various types of data, thus paying much attention to data correlation. In the United States, itrs a culture and tradition for institutional research to provide service for university management decision. Meanwhile in China, some colleges and universities are conducting familiar researches, too. They try to provide support for their management decision by using new technologies like online analytical processing and data mining. In order to advance the evidence-based scientific management decision and efficient management, we need to draw lessons from the advanced successful experience , create a healthy data culture, improve the quality of data, speed up the building, opening and sharing of our database system, promote the application ability of data mining and analysis.
