摘要
基于异质性企业贸易的理论框架,本文使用中国工业企业微观数据全面深入地考察了贸易自由化对中国制造业企业出口行为的影响。研究表明:(1)贸易自由化显著地促进了制造业企业的出口参与,本研究选取合适的工具变量克服内生性问题,并进行多角度的稳健性分析,结果均支持了这一结论;(2)贸易自由化通过竞争效应与成本效应两个不同渠道促进了企业出口参与,其中成本效应对企业出口参与的影响程度相对更大;(3)中国加入世界贸易组织显著地推动了企业的出口参与,其中对本土企业的推动作用更大,并且入世主要是通过集约边际的途径影响企业的出口行为。
Based on the theoretical framework of heterogeneity-firms trade, this paper comprehensively investigates the impact of trade liberalization on firms' export behavior by u- sing themicro data of Chinese manufacturing firms. The results show that: (i) trade liberal- ization significantly facilitates Chinese firms' export participation. We use suitable instrumen- tal variable to overcome the endogeneity problem and the multiple perspectives of robust anal- ysis to support this conclusion. (ii) trade liberalization facilitatesfirms' export participation through pro-competitive effect and cost effect, of which, the cost effect is larger. (iii) China's WTO entry has significantly boosted firms' export decision, but has a larger effect on local firms, and WTO entry is also mainly through the way of intensive margin to affect firms' export behavior.
