摘要
美国印第安人向来被认为是生态生活的典范。路易斯·厄德里克的小说《爱药》中描述的美国印第安人与自然相处的方式,体现了他们敬畏自然、感恩自然的生态智慧,反映出印第安后裔通过回归自然来追求健康平衡自我的生态情怀。这种生态智慧也是那些印第安后裔,乃至全人类探寻诗意栖居、与自然和谐共处的和谐生态的守望。
American Indians have been considered the model of ecological life. The man-nature relationship described in Louise Erdrich＇s Love Medicine conveys American Indians＇ reverence and respect for nature, and expresses their strong expectation of returning to nature to achieve a balanced self, which is also the expectation for poetic habitation and harmonious coexistence with nature for the younger generation of American Indians and all the human beings.
