摘要
X窗口系统是美国麻省理工学院开发的网络多窗口图形软件。它与设备无关,可以在任何支持X协议的硬件上使用。目前,已纳入ANSI工业标准,几十家硬件厂商(包括IBM、DEC、HP、Sun Microsystem、Apple)都支持这个标准。X窗口系统可能成为90年代最重要的软件技术之一。
X Window System which was developed by the Massachusetts Institute of T echnoiogy is a netwonk——based windowing graphic system. It is device independent and can be used in any computer which supponts x protocal. X window System is accepted by ANSI and supported by dozens manufactures including IBM、PEC、HP、Sun Microsystem、Apple. It may well become one of the most siguipicant software technologies of the 1990s.
