摘要
使用中国地级以上城市面板数据,采用新经济地理学分析框架,检验基础设施与集聚经济在中国城市生产率差异形成中的作用。结果表明,城市非农就业密度对城市非农劳动生产率的影响存在门槛效应。当城市非农就业密度超过门槛值时,其对城市非农劳动生产率的偏效应显著为正;但在忽略基础设施因素的情形下,这一门槛值更高,表明基础设施对集聚经济的实现具有显著的促进作用。此外,研究还发现,集聚经济效应在大城市更明显。
Based on China's prefectural panel data, this paper tests the function of infrastruc- ture and agglomeration economy on productivity differences in China's cities by using the frame- work of new economic geography. The results show that non - agricultural employment density has threshold effects on non - agricultural labor productivity. When the density of urban non - agricul- tural employment is higher than the threshold, it has significant positive effect on urban non - agri- cultural productivity. However, the threshold is higher without considering infrastructure factors, which means infrastructure plays a positive role in the formation of agglomeration economies. Be- sides, research also finds out that agglomeration economy is more significant in big cities.
