The vertical looper is a key equipment to ensure the modern CGL＇s continuous operation.The tension control of the looper directly affects the CGL＇s output and quali-ty.The speed and torque setting of the hoist motor of looper and auxiliary compensation roller are the main factors of the tension control, so the control strategy was re-searched,which was used to production and afforded good results.
