英语专业学生媒介素养教育模式

Model of Media Literacy and its Applications to English Majors' Classroom

摘要 媒介素养教育至今已有80年的历史,媒介素养是当代大学生必备的基本素质之一,它的重要组成部分。然而,我国外语专业学生被认为普遍缺乏分析、综合、判断、推理、思考、辨析等能力。培养批判解读讯息能力历来是媒介素养教育的重要目标之一,英语专业的教学特点决定,应该在相关的专业课程中渗透媒介素养教育,通过培养批判解读能力提高外语专业学生的思辨能力。英语专业可以采用以下模式进行媒介素养教育:寓媒介知识普及于视、听、说课程,把媒介讯息解读能力培养渗透于阅读课程,将媒介讯息产制能力培养贯穿于写作课程。 Media literacy education has been carried out for 80years in western countries, media literacy has be- come one of the essential literacy for contemporary college students. Foreign language majors in our country are gen- erally criticized for the lack of the ability to analyze, to synthesize, to judge, to induce, and to think critical- ly. Cultivation of learner' s critical reading is one of the key targets of media literacy. The nature of English language teaching makes it necessary that English classroom implements media literacy education during the training of lan- guage skills so as to improve their critical thinking ability. A model is suggested, that is, to popularize common knowledge of media in such courses speaking, listening and viewing, to cultivate critical reading ability in reading classes, and to train the learner to produce media message in writing classes.
