摘要
明清时期的京杭大运河联结着中国与世界,在中外文化交流中发挥着重要作用。明清时期一些外国使节、传教士、旅行者等多取道于此,京杭运河沿线的水利工程、城镇乡村和风土民情,给他们留下了深刻的印象,他们的观察与描述无疑有助于加深对明清京杭大运河的了解和认识。
The Beijing to Hangzhou Grand Canal in the Ming and Qing Dynasties linked China with the world and played an important role in sino -foreign cultural exchanges. Some foreign diplomats, missionaries, and other travelers took the way of the Grand Canal and were deeply impressed by the water conservancy, cities, towns and villages, natural conditions and social customs along the Canal. Their works covered lots of things about the Canal, and their observations and descriptions are undoubtedly a great help to our better understanding of the Grand Canal from Beijing to Hangzhou in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
