摘要
二战结束后,随着中外交通的恢复和海外移民网络的重建,四邑侨乡社会进入了恢复重建期。在战后广东军政当局的支持和配合下,以现代银行金融系统和邮政系统为主体的官方侨汇网络体系得到了迅速恢复和重建,一度成为主要的侨汇途径;随着海外巨额侨汇的涌入,四邑侨乡经济活动日益活跃。部分侨汇转化为金融资本,有力地推动着以金山庄、金号、银号、地下钱庄和零售商店为主体的四邑侨乡社会民营侨汇体系的恢复和发展。
After World War II came to a close,with the restoration of China's links with the outside world and with the reestablishment of overseas migration network,the Sze Yap region entered into a restoration and reconstruction period. With the Guangdong military and administrative authorities' support and cooperation,the official remittances network system featuring modern banking and postal systems was quickly restored and reestablished and became the major channel for overseas remittances to flow into Sze Yap. With the influx of huge overseas remittances,the economy of the Sze Yap qiaoxiang region was becoming increasingly vibrant.Part of the remittances was transformed into financial capital giving a strong impetus to the recovery and development of private financial and remittance transferring systems in the Sze Yap region.
