摘要
四川是我国重要的强震多发区。强震的分布规律表明,活动断裂对强烈破坏性地震有明显的控制作用。这种控制作用是复杂的,多因素的。它们包括晚第四纪断块运动边界,断裂的新活动时代,以断层滑动速率表达的断层运动强度,活断层切割深度以及断层运动方式等。这些因素的权重可能是复杂的,因地而异的。即使是有利于发生高震级地震的活动断裂,能否发生大地震还受到断层破裂长度和断层几何特征等因素的制约。
Sichuan province is one of important seismogenic regions with frequancy and intensityin China,The distribution regularity of strong earthquakes indicates that the active faults inSichuan have apparently control functoin on strong earthquakes. this kind of control is complicat-ed and multifactors which include fault block motion in Late Quaternary,last peried of faultmovement、fault slip rate standing for the strength of tault movement,cut depth of active faultand motion style of active fault.The power and function of these factors may be complicated andvariable with different place. The actual capacity for large earthquake may still be controlled byfactors such as the length of coseismic breaking and the geometrical feature of the active faulteven though one active fault is convenient to generate earthquake of high magnitude.
