In view of percentage elongation at break, the effect of sample's location on the physical properties of soft leather from pigskin is studied. The average test data that coming from samples in other parts of leather are compared with the data obtained with the sample in the standard position. Results showed that it was unsuitable to let the test data of the sample in the standard position to represent the average value of the whole leather.
