里海沿岸五国为维护各自的国家利益,在里海的法律地位和水域划分、油气勘探开采权、油气输出管道走向等三个问题上展开激烈的斗争,各国间利益冲突难以平衡.围绕里海能源之争,美俄之间的斗争将进一步加剧.
Beginning with a detailed introduction of the oil rich Caspian Sea for its first part,the article concentrates its second part on how the oil relevant central Asian and Transcaucasian states,using oil resources as a “trump card”,were planning to realize their economic development.Almost all these states are now cooperating with more than one foreign oil companies,with Kazakstan in particular.Up to now,50 or so oil companies from more than 20 foreign countries made investment in the Caspian area for oil and natural gas exploitation and development.The American oil companies,supported by its government and equipped with large capitals and advanced technology,occupies superior position in this oil warfare.The third part of this article discusses some particular problems such as the Caspian sea's legal status and the division of water area,the exploration and exploitation rights and the choice of proper pipe lines.Putin's government has participated in the oil competition in this area.
