中华儿女高举爱国主义旗帜，“打倒列强，除军阀”，体现了北伐战争中爱国主义最显著的特点。北伐战争的胜利进军，是中华儿女用爱国主义的热血挥洒在神州大地的英雄史诗。中国人民收回汉口、九江英租界，维护中华民族尊严的爱国热潮，成为北伐战争中爱国主义的又一突出特点。

The fact that the sons and daughters of China held high the patriotic banner with the slogan “Down with the Great Powers and Away with the Worlords” demonstrated the prominent feature of patriotism in the Northern Expedition. The successful march of the Expedition was a heroic epic for which the sons and daughters of China shed blood on the land. The patriotic movement of the Chinese people recovering the British concessions in Hankou and Jiujiang and protecting the Chinese national dignity constituted another outstanding feature of patriotismin the Expedition.
