In this paper, frequency amplitude distribution response equation of controlled mode of vibration is deduced by considering the main structure as multi degree of freedom. on the basis, frequency response characteristics of different controlled modes of vibration with STMD and MTMD structure respectively are compared, and the effect of TMD arrangement upon vibration control is also discussed. In the end, MTMD parameter analysis and design are carried out in connection with an extra long bridge, and the results of time history analysis under the influence of two seismic waves are given.
