摘要
不认同“‘五四’时期胡适的人生观发展经历了一个从‘个人’主义到‘社会’主义的转向”的观点 ,认为胡适在这一时期所提倡的以《易卜生主义》为代表的西方个人主义实际上只是他基于民族主义这一时代需要而“引进”的从而也是经过精心“曲解”的一种西方个人主义 ,它体现了一种试图以西方价值观来整合中国传统价值观的思想努力 ,而稍后的《不朽》一文也只不过是这种思想的自觉努力的自然延伸而已 ,二者并不矛盾。
Generally,people hold that the development of Hu Shih's view of life in the May 4th movement period experienced a change from individualism to socialism,but the author of this article holds that lbsenism is not the representative of western individualism.Actually,the Ibsenism Hu Shih had advocated in the May 4th Movement period was only a kind of 'distorted' western individualism.It has embodied some effort to intergrate Chinese traditions with western views of value,and the Immortality was nothing but a natural extension of this effort.There is no contradiction between them.
