It is basically introduced in this paper the small signal stability problem in electrical power system through the use of Matlab application program. On the basis of the modulation, simulation and analysis to the electrical power system, we can get the damping and frequency of the system's oscillations. And through the application of this method to the actual system, we can conclude that this method is applicable to the small signal stability of electrical power system.
