The thermal stability of high_density polyethylene (HDPE) film was studied by thermogravimetry. The lifetime equations at various weight loss ratio of 5%, 10% and 15% were determined as lgτ=1.243×10 4/T-19.34, lgτ=1.609×10 4/T-25.17 and lgτ=1.794×10 4/T-28.00, respectively. The activation energy E calculated by the Ozawa and the Kissinger method were E o=235.9kJ/mol and E K=232.0kJ/mol, respectively.
